- Workfront License: You must have a Workfront license with the “Plan” level access.

Step-by-Step Guide To Create a Workfront Milestone Report
Step 1: Access the Main Menu and Select “Reports”
To initiate the process, navigate to the Main Menu and click on “Reports“.
Step 2: Choose “Project Report”
Upon accessing the report window, navigate to the left menu and locate the “New Report” section. Select “Project Report” from the options provided.
Step 3: Configure Filters for Your Report
Now, the “New Project Report” window will appear. To refine the data in your report, set up filters. Click on the “Add a Filter Rule” button in the middle of the page. This step is essential to exclude unnecessary data and display only the information you require.
Step 4: Select Appropriate Fields for Your Report
When you’re dealing with projects, they are usually grouped within a larger program, and these programs are part of even bigger portfolios. To make things simpler, we suggest choosing the main category for the project, which is the program. This way, you won’t have to type in each project name one by one into the Project Name field, saving you time and effort.
In the Search bar, type: Program name, Workfront then will return the exact field to you. Select the field.
In the Program Name field, enter the program name that contains projects that you want to view. For the purpose of demonstrating the case, we selected “Holiday Campaigned Q423.”
Step 5: Configure Report Settings To Create a Workfront Milestone Report
Navigate to the top right corner of your screen and select Report Settings.
A Report Settings window opens like below. It allows you to add more details to your report, such as Report Title and Description.
- Enable Milestone View on the Details Tab: Make sure to tick the “Show the Milestone view on the Details tab” option. This ensures that the milestone view will appear on the Details tab in your report consistently.
- Enhance Control: For added control, consider selecting the “Allow View to be changed on the report” option. By doing this, only system administrators can modify the report view, providing more security and stability.
Click Done to save.
Step 6: Select Save + Close
Congratulations! You have successfully created a visually appealing Workfront Milestone Report. This report provides you with a high-level overview of your projects, making it an indispensable resource for effective project management.
